A passionate life.
Don’t you see that the most beautiful things are created in the most passionate of ways—with a mix of pure pain and true joy?
Don’t you see that the truest of things are the hardest of things?
The times when you discover who you are, are the times when you lose everything you thought that you were? And at that moment, you need to recreate yourself. And the hardest thing is to stay who you were, because you see how wrong you were at times.
Don’t you realize that the most beautiful of people are the people who have lived on the edge of the world? If you want to live, you can’t live in the middle. You have to live in the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. And that means exposing yourself for who you are; the best of who you are and the worst of who you are. And in the end, the most beautiful people will stand with you.
When you look around, who is there? Truly, it seems the only people who matter are the ones who have climbed the mountains with you and have helped you out of the valleys.
I always thought it was important to be perfect, but that is not possible. The only thing that is possible is to be the best person you can be. And that isn’t perfection. The best person is the person who does what needs to be done; the person who is honest even when it hurts, the person who stands alone when he or she believes in something, the person who fights for what he or she wants, the person who never gives up.
Life is not simply existing, but it is setting the world on fire. Don’t leave anything on the field. Sweat is glorious. You only have so much time to change things. Then you die and only your legacy will live on.
